As a Catholic Secondary School under the new trusteeship of CEIST and one of the largest and most successful all-girls secondary school in Connaught, St. Mary’s has established for itself a reputation of excellence in every field of educational endeavour.
We challenge the gifted to reach their potential, we provide scaffolding
for those whose foundations are weak, we foster a spirit of enterprise, we
nurture sporting, cultural and artistic talents, we encourage community
involvement, we facilitate self-directed learning, we offer supervised study
and we endeavour to do all of the above in such a way as to ‘engage the
heart’ of the learner.
We aim to help all our girls develop strong roots and moral fibre but
most importantly to grow wings – wings that will safely carry them on to the
next stage of their academic journey and beyond. Our wish for all of them is
to go safely and confidently, but “never to travel faster than your Guardian
Angel can fly”.
