As part of the Ballina 2023 celebrations, this years Women's Mini Marathon will take place in Ballina on Sunday April 30th 2023.

St. Mary's Secondary School hope to join in the fun and is encouraging as many of our students and staff as possible to take part. Over the next week, girls wishing to take part will be provided with 8 week training plans to prepare them for the day.
There are 3 plans to suit all abilities:
Each lunchtime the girls will be provided with an opportunity to walk, jog or run a 1.5km route marked out around the school.
As part of the mini marathon there is a special 'It's for Girls' event with a trophy being awarded to the school with the most participants.
Cost - €10 and each girl will receive a T-Shirt, Race number, Finishers Medal and downloadable record chart.
We will be registering the girls over the next few weeks. Why not join your daughter and dust down the lycra and trainers and hit the roads around the town.
Sunday, April 30th promises to be a fantastic day in Ballina with thousands of women and girls participating in the largest sporting event west of the Shannon this year.
