On Monday February 20th at 7.30pmin St. Mary's Secondary School
Dr. Maureen Griffin, forensic psychologist will deliver a presentation "Social Media: Challenges for Parents"
The presentation will cover what is currently popular; what the potential dangers are and offer practical advice on how to protect ourselves and our
children online.
Issues such as social networking sites & chatting apps; Live streaming; gaming; grooming; sexting; screen-time & sleep; and cyberbullying
will be addressed.
Earlier that day, Maureen will meet all Junior Cycle students to discuss the potential dangers associated with social media and how to protect themselves online.
This will be the third time Dr. Maureen Griffin visited our school to meet with parents and students. We feel it is an extremely worthwhile presentation.
