St. Mary’s Secondary School is delighted to launch our “Strive for 5” One Week Challenge, taking place from Monday 27th April to Friday 1st May. The challenge encourages all students to focus on three key habits for success in school: attendance, punctuality, and being ready to learn.
Throughout the week, students are asked to:
- attend school for five consecutive days
- arrive on time
- come to class prepared and ready to learn
Each student will receive one point for every class in which they are present and on time. The junior class group and senior class group with the highest average collective points will each win a class lunch in Jalan Jalan. Students will lose one point for each class for which they are absent or late.
This initiative is about more than competition. It is about helping students to build healthy habits that support learning and wellbeing. Good sleep, limiting electronic devices before bedtime, and eating a well-balanced diet can all make a positive difference. The school also recognises that parental support is crucial in helping students to succeed.
We look forward to seeing our students embrace the challenge and give their very best throughout the week. Let’s all work together to Strive for 5.
