Mission Statement & School Ethos

St. Mary's is a Mercy school concerned with developing the whole person within a Christian atmosphere. By providing a balanced range of educational activities, we foster growth in self-esteem, respect for others and a commitment to lifelong learning. We take pride in encouraging the highest standards of teaching and learning.

As a Catholic school under the trusteeship of CEIST, we are inspired by the values of the Mercy tradition and are committed to nurturing each student's academic, spiritual, social and emotional development.

We strive to create a welcoming, inclusive and caring school community where every student is encouraged to realise her full potential. Through excellence in teaching and learning, a broad and balanced curriculum, and a wide range of extracurricular opportunities, we empower our students to become confident, compassionate and resilient young women.

Working in partnership with parents and the wider community, we encourage our students to become critical thinkers, creative problem-solvers, responsible citizens and future leaders who will make a positive contribution to society.

Guided by our school motto, "A Warm Welcome, A Caring Heart and a Commitment to Excellence," we endeavour each day to ensure that every student feels valued, supported and inspired to flourish.
