Educational Tours

At St. Mary's Secondary School, we are committed to broadening our students' horizons by encouraging them to experience different cultures, languages, and ways of life. Educational travel has long been an important part of school life, providing students with opportunities to learn beyond the classroom while developing independence, confidence, and a greater understanding of the world around them.

Over the years, St. Mary's students have enjoyed educational trips to countries including Belgium, Germany, Austria, Spain, and England. These experiences have created lasting memories while enhancing students' appreciation of history, culture, language, and international traditions.

A highlight of the Transition Year programme is our annual educational tour to Italy. Over four memorable days, students immerse themselves in the country's rich history, art, architecture, language, and culture. The itinerary typically includes visits to the historic cities of Verona and Venice, where students experience some of Italy's most famous landmarks, as well as the picturesque lakeside town of Sirmione on Lake Garda. The trip also includes a day at the renowned Gardaland theme park, providing the perfect balance of educational discovery and fun.

The Italy tour has become a cherished tradition in St. Mary's, offering students an unforgettable opportunity to develop friendships, broaden their perspectives, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
